Nellie was my step Grandmother. She was the 3rd wife of Joseph Parrish (Pat) Steen, my Grandfather. Her 1st husband was a Turner. He died in a cave in Horse Cave, KY. Nellie took excellent care of my Grandfather when he became ill. Nellie was a wonderful caring lady. She was also a wonderful cook and made beautiful quilts.
