Kirk Chadwick, 59, of Ririe, Idaho, passed away from an apparent heart attack on the afternoon of June 12, 2019 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Kirk was born to Morris and Jana Tolton Chadwick on August 9, 1959 in Murray, Utah. He grew up in Lehi, Utah where he spent every minute he could running around outside with his friends and younger brothers. He graduated from Lehi High School, and, upon graduation, joined the United States Navy. While stationed in San Diego, California, he met a beautiful redheaded Idaho girl, Leta Linville, and refused to part company with her. Kirk and Leta were married on July 26, 1980 in the Idaho Falls Temple. After serving in the Navy for 5 years, Kirk and Leta moved to Idaho, bouncing around from Ririe to Meridian to Boise and finally back to Ririe where they have resided for the past 32 years. Kirk graduated from the University of Idaho, but his greatest accomplishments are his 6 children and 14 grandchildren.

Kirk loved woodworking, and he was constantly dreaming up new projects. He loved to be up in the mountains, and firmly believed that Idaho is the best state in the Union. He never met a stranger in his life. He loved his God, his family, and his country. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various callings throughout his life. He loved working with the youth, especially coaching them in football, baseball and basketball alongside his children. He loved to be the sugar dealer for the kids at church; he always had a lemon drop or fruit snack in his suit pocket to share. He was always generous with his time, his things, and his heart.

Kirk was preceded in death by his parents, Morris Wells Chadwick and Jana Tolton Chadwick Higley, as well as a younger brother, Scott. He is survived by his wife Leta (Linville), his six children: Emily (Pete) Flynn, Chelsea (Thomas) Good, Devri (Brian) Saville, McCallan (Cassidy Hall) Chadwick, Taryn (David) England, and Ethan (fiancee Erika Hyde) Chadwick, his 14 grandchildren: Jackson, Heather, Wyatt, Matthew, Michael, Sarah, Amber, Rachel, Henry, Aaron, Elijah, Gabriel, Evelyn, and Abigail, his step-mother Kenna Turner Chadwick, his step-father Leonard Higley, and five siblings: Dean (Glenda) Chadwick, Blake (Jackie) Chadwick, Rachelle (Harold) Hoover, Shirley (Carl) Higley Craner, and Melanie Chadwick Janes.

Funeral services will be held at the Ririe Stake Center located at 14061 N. 130 East in Ririe, Idaho on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 1 p.m. with visitation at 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
