Professional Football Player. He was a defensive back and punter for nine seasons (1960 to 1968) in the American Football League, with the Houston Oilers. He was a member of two AFL championship teams (1960 and 1961 Oilers). During his career, Norton was named to three AFL All Pro Teams (1961, 1962 and 1967) and three AFL All Star Teams (1962, 1963 and 1967). In 125 career regular season games, Norton had 45 interceptions, for 592 yards, with 1 touchdown, and 522 punts for 21,961 yards.
