Diana had fond memories of growing up in Baldwin Park area, and spending time with many friends there. She graduated Baldwin Park High School in 1964, and was baptised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on the 24th of October 1964.
She married Bruce Ornstead on February 13th 1965, in Las Vegas Nevada. They were sealed in the Los Angeles temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on January 8th 1966. They were divorced April 26th 1978.
Diana bore five sons, Scott, Adam, Jared, Enoch, and David, and was preceded in death by David and Enoch.
Her career as a technical writer was always secondary to her; family came first.
She gave her all in raising her boys right, while also supporting them and getting a Bachelor's of Arts in History from Cal Poly Pomona. She deeply loved her grandchildren Shannon, Alex, Reagan, Maggie, Michael, Timothy, Nick, and Elijah.
She loved doing Family History work. In addition to searching up and organizing the genealogical information for thousands of her own relatives, she did the same for several friends, and volunteered her time helping others as well.
She was an avid reader all her life, resulting in her being described as a walking encyclopedia of knowledge. She wrote biographies of her mother and uncle, as well as a genealogical work containing extractions from historical newspapers.
She loved growing all sorts of plants, especially flowers, and was very attached to her pet chickens.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all her life.
Diana was full of compassion for everyone, reaching out to many even during her years of declining health. She made a profound impact on the lives of those around her and will be dearly missed.
She is buried alongside her son Enoch in Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont Colorado.
