Mrs. Aoughsten was born Jan. 22, 1906, in Galveston to Joseph and Mary M. Gardner Baker and died Jan. 26, 1987 at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston.
Survivors include five daughters, Illa Jalufka of El Campo, Martha Seaman of Bayou LaBatre, Ala., Wanda Gonzales and Dottie Epperson, both of Galveston, and Tammy Aoughsten of Dallas; a sister, Wilma Joyce O'Conner of Galveston; a brother, Edward Aoughsten of Palacios; five grandsons; and three granddaughters.
Pallbearers include Wensel Aoughsten, Joseph Aoughsten, Carl O'Conner Jr., George Sealy, Kenneth Sealy and Albert Sealy Jr.
Honorary pallbearers include Robert Wayne O'Conner and Johnny Auzston.
Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home, Palacios.
