Born October 13, 1870 at Nahville, Tenn., Mr. Walker moved here as a young boy. He was married to Miss Sarah Bradford Ward on January 20, 1895, and she preceded him in death on June 20, 1929. Until his retirement some years ago, Mr. Walker was engaged in farming.
Surviving are four sons, Charles Walker, Marvin Walker, Bennie Walker and Linus Walker; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Hall, Mrs. Ella Cole, Mrs. Laura Pratt and Mrs. Mary Milburn; 25 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be held Friday afternoon. The Rev. Jimmie Edmondson and the Rev. Clint Robertson will officiate. Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
