He had a flying accident on July 28, 1942 at Douglas in a PT-17 (41-8995). He had Basic at Shaw Field and Advanced single engine at Marianna, Florida. He went to the 404th Fighter Group, 508th Fighter Sqdn. He had 70 Missions, probably flying P-40's.
