"FORDYCE - Imogene Robinson Morgan, age 87, died in Arkadelphia,Arkansas, Monday, June 11. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Morgan. Imogene was born in Arkansas City and grew up in Old Washington, Arkansas, where her father served as town doctor. Her family moved to Dumas during her teenage years, and she attended college in Monticello where she met Vernon. Imogene was a Baptist and taught Sunday School at Fordyce First Baptist Church for years. Imogene is survived by two children, Rebecca Morgan of Fayetteville, Henry Morgan of Arkadelphia; a daughter-in-law, Veda Morgan; three grandchildren, Morgan Hooker, Tony Ranchino and Niki Jackson; as well as two greatgranddaughters. Imogene was an unusually talented lady. She was a wonderful gardener, exceptional cook, state champion seamstress, great-grandmother, wife and friend. She had fun attempting golf for thirty years. She enjoyed the respect of those who knew her. She loved people and was friendly to everyone she met. She was lucky to have been blessed with striking attractiveness and good health all her life. There will be a graveside memorial service on Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Goathead Deer Camp Family Cemetery near Ivan just north of Fordyce. Family and close friends are invited. Casual Dress is required. The family requests no flowers or memorials, but if compelled to honor Imogene, then gifts to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation would be preferred.
