Mrs. Mitchell, a native of Augusta, Ga., was a retired Jack & Jill Day Care kindergarten teacher and a Wingate College graduate. She also was a former Burton Institute employee. She was a member of University City United Methodist Church and its Wesley Fellowship Sunday school class. She also was a life member of United Methodist Women.
Survivors are her sons, David Mitchell, Bill Mitchell; daughter, Mrs. Donna Benson; brothers, Howard Estep of Belmont, Daniel Estep of Charleston; five grandchildren.
