Shirley graduated from Noblesville High School in 1962 and received a 4-year scholarship to Purdue University. She worked at L.S. Ayres in Glendale before moving to Sarasota, FL in 1972. She traveled the world as a travel agent for 26 years. Shirley moved back to Noblesville in 2005. She was the sixth generation member of the Horney Family at Hinkle Creek Friends Church.
Services were entrusted to Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Mortuary of Indianapolis, Indiana.
