BOYKIN, LEMUEL WHITAKER. Born near Camden, S.C. January 4, 1880, son of Samuel and Leila (Ancrum) Boykin. Attended Camden College, worked six years in the Atlanta (Ga.) National Bank, and later manufactured a wood preservative in Cheraw, S.C. Came to Bluefield, WV, in 1915 as general agent for the Pilot Life Insurance Company, which position he has held for more than 25 years. Married Eula Bruce, June 18, 1918; three children - Elizabeth, Lemuel, Jr., and Leila B.
