Louis P. 'Duke' Dombek, 88, of Oklahoma City, passed away June 3, 2007 after a lengthy illness. Duke was born on June 17, 1918 in Yonkers, New York and served in the US Air Force for 7 years. He retired from FAA in 1978 as a Contract Procurement Specialist and was a faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Treba; his parents, Catherine and Frank Dombek; one brother, Stanley Dombek; two sisters, Agnes Menzinski and husband Alvin; Frances Jankowski and husband Frank; 2 step-sons Tom Harmon and Wesley Harmon and wife, Modelle. Duke is survived by his wife, Joyce; brother Joseph Dombek and wife Paula of Sycamore, IL; step-son Kevin Smith and daughter-in-law Cindy Smith of Kansas City, MO; grandson, Jacob Smith of Lawrence, KS; foster son Rev. Philip Seeton of Irving, TX; grandchildren Jim Harmon, Debbi Gandy, and Gary Harmon; daughter-in-law Mary (Harmon) Harris and grandchildren Sharon Woodward, Carole Kaminski, Kevin Harmon, Chris Harmon, Craig Harmon, and Tom Harmon, Jr. In addition, he leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. Wake services will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2121 N. Portland on June 5, 2007, 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Patrick on June 6, 2007, 10:00 am. A private family burial will follow at Bristow Cemetery in Bristow, OK. The family wishes to thank those who cared for Duke at Bellevue Health Center and Mercy Hospice. The thoughts and prayers of St. Patrick parishioners and other friends and family are also appreciated.
