Robert Lee Dye, 74, of Bluefield,
VA, formerly of Richlands
died Nov. 20 In a Bluefield, WV
hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in Richlands and
was a son of the late Robert Richard
Richardson Dye and Myrtle
Dye, both Tazewell County
He was a retired railroad conductor
of N & W Railway in Bluefield,
WV and was a member of
the N & W.Conductors Organization.
He had made his home in
the Richlands area before moving
to Bluefield in 1953 and was
a member of the Church of God
Church in Bluefield.
He was preceded in death by
one sister, Dismal Rimmer and
two brothers, Coy and Gaines
Survivors: wife, Stella Mathena
Dye; sons, Robert Dye Jr. of
Grundy, Donald Lee Dye of Richlands;
sister, Stella Horton of
Bluefield, WV; brother, Rhuie J.
Dye of Lebanon; seven grandchildren;
and eight greatgrandchildren.
The funeral was conducted
Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott
Funeral Chapel in Richlands
with Rev. J.C. Wells officiating.
Interment followed in Greenhills
Memory Gardens at Claypool
Pallbearers were: Paul Dye,
Robert Dye III, Donnie Dye Jr..

Taylor, David Rimmer and Ian
Retired fellow N & W Railway
co-workers served as honorary
