STRATFORD - Garland Bardwell, 87, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001.
Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in First Christian Church with the Rev. Bob Sweeten, pastor, officiating and Sharlyn Larsen, lay minister of Guymon, Okla., assisting. Graveside rites will be conducted at Stratford Cemetery by Dumas Masonic Lodge No. 1009. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Mr. Bardwell was born in Nolan County. Before moving to Dumas in 1999, he farmed in Sherman County and later worked for Stratford Feedyard until his retirement. A Shriner, he was a member of First Christian Church in Stratford, Dumas Masonic Lodge No. 1009 and Scottish Rite.
His wife, Beulah Martha Bardwell, died January 7..
Survivors include two daughters, Jeanette West of Dumas and Paulette Palmer of Stratford; a sister, Dora Mae Burklow of Sweetwater; and seven grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, P.O. Box 199300, Dallas, TX 75219-9300; or First Christian Church, P.O. Box 626, Stratford, TX 79084.
