Joy J. Burdzilauskas, 77, of Ohlman, a native of Pana, died at 5:15 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004 in her home. Final rites will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 6 in Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis with Pastor Rick Miles officiating. Burial will be in Ohlman Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., today, Monday, Jan. 5 in the funeral home. Mrs. Burdzilauskas was born June 25, 1926 in Pana, the daughter of R. Earl and Nellie I. Haverstock Stevens. She married Morris Eugene Burdzilauskas on May 2,1955 in Hillsboro. He died Feb. 27, 2002. She was a retired Postmaster and a member of the National Association of Postmasters. Surviving are a son, James Burdzilauskas and wife Kristina of Ohlman; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, and brother, Edgar Earl Stevens and sister, Juanita.
