J. Carl Mintner, 92, of 405 E. Main St., Lomira, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at St. Agnes Hospital.

He was born Feb. 6, 1908, in the Town of Lomira, the son of Martin and Martha Luedtke Mintner.

On Oct. 23, 1929, he married Myrtle Guell at Tabor Evangelical Church in Eden.

He attended Sunny Slope School in Lomira and farmed in the Town of Lomira all of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle of Lomira; two daughters-in-law, Kathy Mintner of Lomira and Jo Mintner of Campbellsport; one son-in-law, Floyd Smith of Lomira; grandchildren, Cheryl (Gerry) Meyer of Brownsville, Barb (Bob) Breitag of West Bend, Joy (Ed) Kikkert of Beaver Dam, Pam Smith of DeForest, Dena (Jerry) Walter of Fond du Lac, Greg Mintner of Campbellsport, Mindy (Tod) Kearney of La Crosse, Kristy Mintner and Jamie Mintner, both of Lomira, Becky Mintner (fiancé Jacob Hutchison) of New London, Tanya (Tye) Stiebs of Weyauwega; along with 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four children, Harold, Leo and Allen Mintner and Carol Smith; his parents; and four sisters.

Services: Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lomira. The Rev. Scott McMurray will officiate. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in the Town of Lomira.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to United Methodist Women Missions at Trinity Church in Lomira.
