The death of Mrs. Mary Hinkley, the beloved mother of Chas. and Wallace Hinkley of this place, took place last Thursday at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 6 days. Deceased was born in New York state in Feb. 1828 and came to Nebraska in 1868. Funeral services were held at the home of her son near Fletcher last Saturday. Elder Dawson gave a brief history of her life and Rev. A. M. McFarland spoke a few words of comfort to the bereaved ones. The remains were followed by a large concourse of sorrowing friends and neighbors to the New England Cemetery, where they were laid to rest.
