Jacob G. Robbins Reaches Ninetieth Year on Earth
Death Follows Few Days of Illness.
Ten Children, 55 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren Survive Him.
Jacob G. Robbins, who but recently had passed his ninetieth birthday anniversary, died at his home here Monday after a few days of illness with pneumonia. He had been up and around the house until a few days before his death caring for his wife who has been quite ill for some time, who is past 80 years of age and expresses a desire to join her life companion "over there." The funeral was held Wednesday from the Baptist Church, Rev. E.G.O. Groat officiating. Interment was in the Blue Mt. Cemetery.
Mr. Robbins was born in Jennings Co., Indiana, December 19, 1827, where he was married October 19, 1851, to Jane Force. They observed their 66th anniversary last October. In 1866 they moved to Minnesota, moving to Oregon in 1911 in order to spend their last years in a mild climate. Twelve children were born to the union, of whom 10 survive. There are 55 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Mr. Robbins served 2 years, and 10 months in the Civil War as a member of the 82nd Indiana infantry and was mustered out at the end of the war.

Coughlin, Le Seuer Co., Minnesota; Morton Calvin, Cottage Grove; George R., Le Sueur Co., Minnesota; and Edith Rebecca Leischer, Wisconsin.
