Esther Louise Walker, 93, died at 11:28 p.m. Aug. 9, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. Born March 20, 1904, in Jonesboro, IL, Daughter of the late Charles F and Edna B. Butler Krueger, she was a member of Miner Baptist Church.
On Jan 29, 1921, in Sikeston, she married Benjamin Thomas Walker, Sr., who preceded her in death on Sept 15, 1977.
Survivors include: one son Bennie Walker, Jr., four daughters, Mildred Wills, Margaret Breedlove, Betty Stancil and Mary Ann Alcorn. One sister Lillian Newton, eight grandchildren, and five great grandhildren.
One son and one brother also preceded her in death.
Visitation was at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services were scheduled with the Rev. Dale Merritt of Sikeston officiating.
Burial followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bob Walker, Bill Walker, Dick Swann, Denny Alcorn, Tommy Rister and Cody Alcorn.
