FOUND DEAD IN HIS STORE, AN AGED RETIRED CARPENTER PAYS THE DEBT OF NATURE
Alva Dozer was found dead in his store in lower Putnam by the police at an early hour Saturday morning. Death is believed to have been due to acute indigestion.
The deceased was 77 years of age and spent practically all of his life as a resident of this city, working at the carpenter trade at the Baltimore and Ohio railway shops for many years. He was for a while employed as watchman in the part near the Grant school house and since then has conducted a candy store on Putnam Avenue.
About one week ago he moved his stock to a shanty near the Tube works where he was found dead.
He is survived by his widow and a daughter Mrs. C. L. Atkinson of Putnam Avenue.
The funeral services will be conducted from the Arnold and Bateman Undertaking establishment, Monday morning at 10 o'clock.
Interment will be made in Woodlawn Cemetery.

DEATH CAUSED BY INDIGESTION
FUNERAL OF AGED ALVA DOZER WILL BE HELD MONDAY MORNING, CORONER'S VERDICT
In his little cigar store far out Putnam Avenue, Alva Dozer was found dead by Policeman Foster Spring, Saturday morning. Spring was passing the little shanty and through an open door noticed the aged man lying over the side of the bed with his clothes partly off.
Going in he found the old man dead. the police patrol and the coroner were notified and the latter stated that death was probably due from an attack of acute indigestion.
His daughter, Mrs. C. L. Atkinson, was notified, and she directed that the body be taken to the Arnold & Bateman undertaking rooms, from which burial will take place at 10 o'clock Monday morning.
Interment will be made in Woodlawn Cemetery.
