GENERAL WELLINGTON H. ENT, a gallant officer of the Pennsylvania Reserves during the war, died yesterday at his home in Bloomsburg, Columbia county, Pennsylvania. In 1868 Mr. Ent was a candidate of the Democratic party for Surveyor General of this State. He was beaten by Jacob M. Campbell. He was yet a young man, and would no doubt, had he lived, have won for himself an honorable place. [The Lehigh Register, Allentown, PA, November 8, 1871 transcribed by VLHartman]
