Alexis Jade Jewel Beckstrom, 10 months old, died unexpectedly Monday, May 14, 2007 at Duke Medical Center.
Born in Durham, Alexis was the daughter of Zachary and Lauri Jon Matzinger Beckstrom. She was a very happy, independent baby who loved to play in the water. Alexis was definitely a "mama's girl", who's blue eyes and sweet laughter would melt your heart. Even though her time on Earth was brief, she touched so many lives and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Alexis is survived by her paternal grandparents, Kent Beckstrom of San Diego, CA and Victoria H. Olsen of Durham; maternal grandparents, Lauri A. and Jana T. Matzinger, of Durham; and her sister, Brandi Rose Edmonds, of Durham.
