Marilyn was born Nov. 18, 1930 in Nebraska. She graduated from Blair, Nebraska High School, then earned her RN degree from Immanuel School of Nursing in Omaha, Nebraska, and her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, from Dana College, Nebraska.

She made her home in Blair, Nebraska, working for many years at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital.

After moving to Treasure Island, Florida in 1985, she worked as a Home Health Care nurse until her retirement in 1995.

She enjoyed many years of her retirement, spending time boating, fishing, traveling, and playing golf. She especially enjoyed her trips back to Nebraska to visit family and friends.

Marilyn J. Rasmussen of Treasure Island, Fla. passed away Nov. 9, 2018 at Bayfront Health in St Petersburg, Florida.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kevin Rasmussen, Jill (Denny)Strong, Ann (Pam) Rasmussen; and her grandchildren, Brent, Brianna, and Jay.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ditlof and Lula Wolsmann; and brother Robert Wolsmann.

Memorials may be directed to: The Nebraska Children's Home Society, America Heart Association, or may be mailed to: Jill Strong, 10635 Fort Street, Omaha, NE. 68134.

The family will be holding a memorial service on November 19th at Paradise Lutheran Church, 10255 Paradise Blvd, Treasure Island, FL A graveside service will be held at the Blair Cemetery at a future date.
