Floyd W. Foster, 98, of Waterman, IL, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Shabbona Healthcare Center. Born December 17, 1908, in Jefferson County, he was the son of Walter and Maggie (nee Hazlip) Foster.
He married Ruby Alice Schu-bach on June 2, 1934, in Ashley, IL. Floyd was a member of First Baptist Church in DeKalb and the DeKalb County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed bowling and playing golf.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby; three children, Dean A. (Nancy) Foster of Yorkville, Philip W. (Shirley) Foster of Shabbona and Carolyn F. Foster of Rochelle; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles (Lena) Foster; two sisters, Cora Randell and Hattie (Calvin) Coulter; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Breeze and Lela Sensel.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, at Anderson Funeral Home Ltd. in DeKalb, with the Rev. Joe Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb.
