A native of Atlantic City, New Jersey, Collins is probably best remembered as the model and voice of Dopey in the 1937 Walt Disney animated film classic, "Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs". A former star of vaudeville, he also appeared in dozens of other films, including "Diamond Jim" (1935), "In Old Chicago" (1937), "Married Before Breakfast" (1937), "Hollywood Cavalcade" (1939), and "The Blue Bird" (1940), in which he played Tylo.
