COLLINS — Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Blakeney Creek Baptist Church for N. J. [sic, s/b A.J.] McQueen, 92, of Rt. 4, who died Thursday at Covington County Hospital.

Rev. Reed Douglas, Jr., and Rev. Lounell Johns will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Johns Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. McQueen was a member of Blakeney Creek Church, a retired farmer and a lifelong resident of Covington County.

Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Elbert Shoemake of Gulfport, Mrs. Melissa Herrín of Collins, Mrs. Vondell Strebeck of Collins and Mrs. Louise Johnson of Collins; one son, Dale McQueen of Collins; eight grandsons, seven granddaughters, 25 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. A. M. Knight of Jackson.

Grandson will serve as pallbearers.

He married Edith J "Edie, Eddie" Warren on Dec 10, 1905 in Covington County, Mississippi, USA. After her death he married Pearlie Sullivan, daughter of Emma Sullivan, on Apr 12, 1951 in Covington County, Mississippi, USA.
