P. V. MCQUEEN DIES AT COLLINS

P. V. McQueen, 67, a resident of Collins, died last night at his home.

Funeral services will be held at the Blakeney Creek Baptist church and interment will follow in the Blakeney Creek cemetery. Reverend Varnado of Collins will officiate. Time of the services was not announced.

Mr. McQueen Is survived by his wife; 8 sons, Ramsay, Truett, Carl, Leonard, Dudley, Benny McQueen, Collins; Otho and Graham McQueen of Hattiesburg; 4 daughters, Mrs. W. H. Herrington, Collins; Mrs. C. E. Chain, Mt. Olive; Miss Gladys McQueen and Miss Alva McQueen of Collins; 4 [sic s/b 5] brothers, Lauren McQueen, Mt. Olive; Joe, Ance, Alex, Owen McQueen of Mt. Olive; 2 sisters, Mrs. W. M Knight and Mrs. Will Yawn of Collins.

Wright Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Blakeney Creek church for '''Vander McQueen''', 62, well known resident of Kola, who died at his home Monday night after a prolonged illness. Rev. A. Varnado, assisted by Rev. Reece Rogers and Rev. B. Williams conducted the rites.

Pallbearers were: Earl McRaney, Dale Shoemake, Winfred McQueen, L. C. Herrington and J. W. Herrington.

Mr. McQueen is survived by his widow and twelve children; Mrs. Winfred Herrington, Collins; Mrs. Ebb Chain, Misses Gladys and Alna McQueen, Leonard, Carl, Otho, Truett, Ramsay, Graham, Dudley and Benny McQueen; two sisters, Mrs. A. M. Knight and Mrs. J. M. Yawn, and five brothers; Joe, Anse, Alex, Owen and L. McQueen.
