SUNRAY - James Franklin "Frank" Boyett, 92, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, in Dumas.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Sunray Baptist Church with the Rev. Philip Hilton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Mr. Boyett was born Jan. 2, 1915, in Grady, Okla., to Robert and Nelia Boyett. On Jan. 27, 1934, he married Hazel Massey in Winfield, and they moved to Sunray in 1951. He worked for American Zinc for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ed Boyett and Tom Boyett; a sister, Belia Mae Lewis; a granddaughter, Kathy Rye; and a grandson, Tommy Kenneth Fitzgerald.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Boyett; two daughters, Wanda Close and husband Billy and Mae Dell Fitzgerald and husband Bill, all of Sunray; a son, James "Leslie" Boyett of Sunray; two sisters, Jewel Knowles of Bedford and Katie Davis of Bakersfield, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Toni, Le Ann, Steve, Keith, Robin, Robert and Travis; nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Memorial Hospice, 209 South Bliss, Dumas, TX 79029.
The family will be at 706 Ave O in Sunray.
