Clarence Derrick, son of William S. & Anna P. (Lyons) Derrick, fought as a Lt. Col. for the Confederate cause during the War Between The States. In civilian life he was an attorney-at-law in such diverse places as Smyth County, VA, Hale County, AL and Philadelphia, PA. He was married three times. His first wife was Frances "Fannie" Seay, his second was Imogene P. (Inge) Inge and his third was Alice (Paschall) Darlington.
