His second wife was Mrs. Lucinda WHITING, a brother's widow, who died 10 Sep 1838, aged 67; this third, Mrs. Phebe RICH, widow of Peter RICH; his fourth, the widow of Lyman NOBLE, who also is dead. He died March 22, 1849, aged 90 years. He had eight children all by his first wife, viz: Lucy, Catharine, William, Abigail, Nathan, Sophrona, Demmon, Timothy.

1818 granted pension from the Revolutionary War.
Soldier of the Revolution In a pension request, William Whiting stated he was living in a house owned by Silas C. Fargo "which in stormy weather does not protect our gray hairs from the wind & rain." Mr. Whiting appears to have been at or near destitution. The Warsaw vital records show William as being a carpenter who died of old age.
