CPL Charles Cook, Vietnam Veteran and native of Columbus, Georgia.

Corporal Charles Cook was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, CPL Cook served our country until April 23rd, 1970 in Binh Dinh, South Vietnam. He was 28 years old and was married. It was reported that Charles died from an undetermined explosion. His body was recovered. Charles was born on June 1st, 1941 in Columbus, Georgia. CPL Cook is on panel 11W, line 040 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 10 years.

He served as a Corporal with the 647th Quartermaster Company, 240th Quartermaster Battalion, ARMY Support Command, Qui Nhon,
1st Logistics Command, USARV.

He was awarded The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal and The Good Conduct Medal.
