Larry was born on February 27, 1943 in Harlan, Iowa, to Christopher and Beulah (Peerman) Nollen. He was raised in Harlan, Iowa and attended Harlan High School.

On June 1, 1963 he married Janet J. Nollen. They were blessed with three children, Renee, Dale and Dawn.

Larry served in the United States Army from July 1961 to July 1964.

Larry worked for Gibson's, Nebraska-Iowa Supply and then Blair Super Foods in Blair for several years until his retirement. He served on the Blair Fire and Rescue Department for many years. He was a member of the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Blair Eagles Ritual Team as well as the Amvets Post 8.

Larry F. Nollen, 75, died August 31, 2018 at his home in Blair, Nebraska.

Left to honor his memory are daughter Renee (Nick) West of Blair; son Dale Nollen of Omaha, NE; daughter Dawn( Eric) Hahn of Missouri Valley, Iowa; daughter Kristy Davis of Harlan, IA; son Larry (Marna) Nollen Jr. of Columbus, GA; daughter Joan (Doug) Andersen, of Jackson, Iowa; and son Anthony Nollen of Industry, IL; brother Ronald Nollen of Independence, IA; sister Marie Greiner, Harlan, IA; brother-in-law & sister-in-law: Doug & Nadeen Palmer of Elk Horn, IA; sister-in-law, Janet Palmer of Clearfield, UT; grandchildren: Joshua, Shawn, Ashley, Kelley, Bryan, Erika, Justin, Deric and Britney; great-grandchildren: Dylan, Chazzy, Ryker, Pyper & Avery; very special friend: Deborah Wehrli, Blair; numerous nephews and nieces.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher & Beulah Nollen, step-dad Chris Brink, wife Janet Nollen, sister Leona Christensen, brother Bernie Nollen.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the First Lutheran Church in Blair. Military services will follow at the Blair Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Campbell Aman Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.
