Nixon—Funeral services for Ralph Joel Billings, who died suddenly on Sunday near Three Rivers, were held on Tuesday, March 14 at 2 p.m. at Finch Chapel. The rev. Floyd Conner conducted the rites, with interment in the Nixon cemetery.
Mr. Billings was born on Nov. 2, 1927 in Nopal, to Burt Noel and Alta Ellen Baker Billings. He was married to Billie Mae Davis on April 4, 1950 in San Antonio and they were former residents of Nixon, now living in Ingleside. He was in construction and was employed by Brown &Root. He was a member of the Baptist Church and also a member of the Nixon-Smiley Masonic Lodge and the Stockdale Order of the Eastern Star.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susanne Billings, on March 10, 1982; two brothers, Harold Burt and Raymond Billings and his parents.
