CHARLES GEREN
CONTINENTAL - Charles E. Geren, 89, formerly of here, died at 5:45 a.m. Saturday in Paradise Oaks Nursing Home, Cloverdale, of an apparent stroke.

The retired farmer was born Oct. 3, 1884 in Putnam County. He was the son of John and Annetta Shumaker Geren. He was married to Iva B. Mahan, who died Sept. 20, 1949.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Buff (Juanita) Hill of Rt. 1, and Mrs. Morley (Doris) Bishop of Andover; four sons, Glen of 203 E. Eureka, Lima, Wilbur of Ney, Oscar of Rt. 2, Oakwood, Bert of Rt. 2; 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Samuel (Sarah) Adams of Hammond, Ore., and Mrs. Willard (Florence) Cass of here; and two brothers, Emanuel of Continental and Sam of Napoleon.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Hartsburgh United Methodist Chruch, Revs. Raymond Matson and Michael Outcalf Officiating with burial in Monroe Cemetery.

Friends may call today at the Richardson Funeral Home.
