Arlo LeRoy Grover, 81, of Ririe, Idaho passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at his home. Arlo was born in Ririe, Idaho on March 31, 1937, the son of Ursel LeRoy Grover and Alice Amelda Hutchens Grover.

He attended schools in Ririe, and graduated from Rigby High School. He continued his education attending Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho and Utah State University in Logan, Utah.

Arlo married Karen Beth Lovell on July 12, 1956 in Idaho Falls at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he has served as Scoutmaster, Young Men’s Leader, Bishopric Counselor, Ward Mission Leader, and as an Officiator at the Idaho Falls Temple.

Arlo loved serving in his community. He has served as Central Fire District Commissioner, Director for Ririe Shelton Cemetery and with the voting polls.

He has worked for Ririe Producers Co-op, Lincoln Sugar Factory, Taylor Chevrolet, Valley Builders Lumberyard, Kelly Canyon Ski Resort and managed Ririe Grain and Feed Co-op. He has also farmed for over 40 years in Dubois, Kilgore and the Ririe areas.

Arlo is survived by his wife; Karen Beth Grover of Ririe, ID. His children; Terri Lyn Christensen of Ririe, ID, Julie Ann (Lawrence) Nestor of Inkom, ID, KaraLee Grover of Idaho Falls, ID, Robert LeRoy (Louri) Grover of Meridian, ID and Randall George (Danielle) Grover of Logan, UT. His sisters; Donna Kirby Hammon of Idaho Falls, ID, Bonnie Anderson of Las Vegas, NV, and brothers; Jerry (Kay) Grover of Spanish Fork, UT, Reo (Helen) Grover of Hattiesburg, MS, Jack (Roberta) Grover of Shelley, ID and a brother in law, Oren Hudson of Anchorage, AK. Fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son; Reed Arlo Grover and daughter in law; Pam Yazzie Grover. Sisters; Ruth Hudson, Amber Lovell, Zola Rhone, Merle Driggs, Martha Lee and brothers; Rex Grover and Blaine Grover.

A funeral service will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Ririe LDS Stake Center (10461 North 130 East, Ririe, ID). The family will meet with friends on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and again on Friday prior to services from 9:30 to 10:45 AM. Interment will follow in the Ririe Shelton Cemetery.
