Artist. Known as the "American Renoir". Many of his paintings are housed in Museums in New York, Paris and London. Served in the French Army during World War I, and was awarded the Croix de Guerre. Befriended author Ernest Hemmingway after the war, and traveled Europe with him. (bio by: Russ Dodge)
