MAX HARDER BURIED AT ELKHORN

Funeral services were held for Max Harder on Saturday Aug. 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkhorn, Nebr.

Max was born on July 10, 1897 to Max and Anna Harder at Rensbureg, Germany. He was baptized in infancy and was confirmed on January 28, 1912 in Holstein Germany.

In 1914 he came with his parents and several sisters and brothers from Germany.

On February 10, 1926 he was united in marriage to Amanda Schmidt.

The settled on a farm near Elkhorn where they resided until 1964, when they retired and moved to their present home in Elkhorn.

To this union one daughter Irma was born.

On April 4, 1976 they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

Max had been in failing health for the past seven years. Four weeks ago he entered the Blair Memorial Hospital and passed away Thursday morning August 19 at the age of 79.

Max was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Janet and Greg, his father and mother; two brothers and six sisters.

He is survived by his widow Amanda, his daughter and son-in-law, Irma and John Lamprecht; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Interment was at Prospect Hill Cemetery near Elkhorn. Swanson Home was in charge of the arrangements.
