Graveside services for Glenna Anderson, 63, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2005, at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. at Broadway Church of Christ with Mr. Floyd Stumbo officiating and Mr. Bill Starcher assisting. Arrangements are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. Glenna passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2005, in Lubbock. She was born Sept. 23, 1941 in Ft. Worth to James and Mary Collins. Glenna married Darrell "Andy" Anderson Sept. 8, 1961 in Ft. Worth. Glenna was a secretary to the principal at Maedgen Elementary. She worked for L.I.S.D for 25 years. She was a member at Broadway Church of Christ for 39 years. Glenna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She adored her husband of 43 years and was a source of inspiration and strength to him her entire life. Mom was tenderhearted and influenced her three children in many ways. Her love of family and her love of God are endearing traits that will influence generations to come. Grandma especially enjoyed her eight grandchildren and could always be found at each of their activities, cheering them on to success.
She is preceded in death by her father and an infant brother. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors and staff at Covenant, Lubbock Cancer Center, Neurological Associates as well as the staffs at the Southwest Regional Medical Complex, Hospice of Lubbock, and Grace House of Lubbock.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Dana Snedden and husband, Pat, of Kansas City, Kan.; two sons, Darren Anderson and wife, Cindy, and Drew Anderson and wife, Shelby, all of Lubbock; her mother, Mary Collins of Ft. Worth; a brother, Monty Collins; a sister, Micki Collins; eight grandchildren, Parker, Conner and Kaylee Snedden, Doug and Cydnee Anderson, and Cole, Cash and Chaney Anderson.
The family suggests memorials to the Children's Home of Lubbock or to Hospice of Lubbock. The family will recei ve friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 8, at the funeral home.
