Wife of Actor John Garfield (1913-1952) and was an actress herself. Together they had three children Katherine (1938-45), who died of an allergic reaction, David (1943-1994), and Julie (b. 1946). After her husband's sudden death of from a heart attack she re-married in 1954, but stayed devoted to John. She suffered from Alzheimer's and Parkinsons and died January 20, 2004 at age 89.
