Thorkild "Tom" Pedersen, 87

Tom was born in Orre, Denmark, on January 29, 1930, the eighth of nine children to Johan Christian and Sorime Margrethe Pedersen. He was baptized on February 23, 1930.
Tom graduated from tech school with a major in Architecture and Engineering Degree.
He married Tove Lyng Lauridsen on April 8, 1953. They were blessed with three children.
In 1958, the couple immigrated to Calgary-Alberta, Canada, before immigrating to Blair in 1961.
Tom started T.Pedersen Masonry, were he built many buildings in Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa. He loved to travel, fish, hunt mushrooms, talk politics and fish some more.
Thorkild “Tom” Pedersen, age 87, of Blair, Nebraska passed away February 19, 2017, at Crowell Home in Blair.
Tom is survived by his three children: Laurids (Judi) Pedersen, Johan (Nancy) Pedersen and Bernice (Bob) Pearson, all of Blair; six grandchildren: Lars and Andra Pedersen, Zachary and Bjorn Pedersen and Jason and Chase Pearson; brother, Bent; and sister, Musse.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters: Vaughn, Jens, Irving, Borge, Henning and Poula.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 24, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Hillside Christian Church, located at 1133 N 28th Ave, Blair, NE. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the Washington County Food Pantry or the Blair Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
