Gary C. Timm, 77 years, of Fremont, NE died Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Gary was born June 20, 1941 in Elkhorn, NE to Clarence and Frances (Kolb) Timm.
He was a graduate of Elkhorn High School.
He served in the US Navy from June 11, 1962 until June 18, 1965 serving on the USS Bonhomme Richard.
Gary married Susan L. Conner in Elkhorn on August 17, 1963. She preceded him in death on September 11, 2017.
They were residents of Arlington, NE for 24 years and moved to Fremont in 1995. He worked as a fiber optics installer for Huntel retiring in 2004.
He was a member of the Arlington Vets Club, Arlington Hiram Masonic Lodge #52, A.F. & A.M. Sarepta Chapter #48, O.E.S., Arlington Saddle Club, Arlington Volunteer Fire Department and Fremont Anglers Association.
He is survived by daughters, Jodie (Kelly) Thompson of Fremont and children, Isaac Thompson and Preston Thompson, Jennifer (Brian) Miller of Manilla, IA and children, Jared Schmidt and Spencer Miller and daughter, Sawyer Schmidt, and Jill (Brandon) Lorsch of Kennard, NE, and children, Rafe Lorsch and Maddox Lorsch.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Susan; brother, Rich Timm and sister, Margaret Timm.
Prayer Service will be 3:00 P.M., Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Scott Jensen will officiate. Visitation with family receiving friends will be 1:00 PM to 3 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Military Honors will be conducted at the conclusion of the prayer service at the funeral home.
