O'BRIEN, John Vincent - Of Santa Rosa, died at age 82 on March 23, 2007 at home. John was the devoted husband of the late Darlene and was the loving father of Elizabeth A. Olsson, John V. O'Brien Jr., and Michael F. O'Brien all of Santa Rosa. He was the brother of the late Rita Lindley, James, Martin and Mary O'Brien. He was the adored grandfather of Crystal and Jennifer Olsson, Steve, Shannon, Sean and Johnny O'Brien III. Great grandfather of Colby, Elise, Isabelle, Charlie and Vincent. John was a veteran of the US Navy, World War II and a 33 year veteran of the California Highway Patrol. He was a former deputy sheriff in Sonoma Valley before becoming a Santa Rosa Police Officer. He was a 50 year member of the Santa Rosa Parlor, Native Sons of the Golden West. A Member of St. Eugene's Parish - Young Men's Institute and the Italian Catholic Federation. A native of Sonoma. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2007 at St. Eugene's Cathedral, Montgomery Drive, Santa Rosa. Interment will be held at Valley Cemetery, Sonoma. Vigil will be held Thursday eve 7 p.m. at Duggan's Mission Chapel, 525 West Napa St , Sonoma. DUGGAN'S MISSION CHAPEL SONOMA
