Ruby D. Bryant, 71, Iberia, died Thursday at her home. She was born Dec. 16, 1922, in Maries County, a daughter of James and Effie Martin Adkins. She was married Oct. 13, 1952, in Springdale, Ark., to Charlton Bryant, who survives at the home. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Church of Christ.
Other survivors include: two sons, Ralph Prater, Washington, Mo., and Marvin "Red" Prater, Iberia; one sister, Edna Hicks, Ballwin; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mona Bryant, and one son, Jackie Robinson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Stevinson-Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. Bro. Bill Claiborn will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery near Iberia. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
