Hill began his career during the early 1950s, recording and performing with such music legends as Miles Davis, Charlie "Bird" Parker, Roland Kirk and Coleman Hawkins. Some of his other notable albums include "Spiral", "Invitation" and "Divine Revelation". He died of lung cancer.
