Born in Louisiana, about 1903 he settled 15 miles south of Tyrone. Twenty years ago he moved to Tyrone where he raised until the time came. His first marriage was in Kemp, TX, and to this union were born eight children: Ina, Jessie, Ora, Otto, Everette, Esther, Horashio and Asa. Ina, Otto and Horashio preceded their father in death. The wife of these children died about twenty years ago.

Funeral services at the Baptist Church at Tyrone conducted by Rev Lee Aufill assisted by Rev E. H. Atherton.
