GEORGE H. DIXON OF NEAR LOWELL DIES
George Homer Dixon, 87, died Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at his home four miles northwest of Lowell, following decline.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Lowell Methodist Church. Interment will be in Greenlawn cemetery at Lowell. The body will remain at the Spies Funeral Home in Lowell until the hour for the service.
Mr. Dixon was born Oct. 31, 1856 and was a son of the late George and Lydia Vaughn Dixon. His wife is deceased. Survivors are one son and four daughters: Ernest Dixon of Lowell; Mrs. Bertha Dutton and Mrs. Josephine Schultz who live near Lowell; Mrs. Gladys Harper of Reinersville; and Mrs. Blanche Waller of Zanesville. There are 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
