We are in receipt of the following notice from Harl Fawcett, formerly of this city, but who has lived in Los Angeles for a number of years:

“People in Blair and vicinity will be grieved to learn of the death in California of an old friend and business man, Mr. Adelbert French. Mr. French was well and kindly known in Blair, being always financially able and willing to help those deserving.

Mr. French died November 11th, 1915, suddenly and was buried at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Los Angeles, and November 15th, 1915. Quite a number of Blair friends attended the funeral. The funeral service was very beautiful, especially the music. Miss Maud Dixon sang and Mr. French’s son, Roy C. French, now a prominent dentist of Los Angeles, played the violin, which Mr. French loved so dearly.

Mr. French leaves his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Maxwell, of Decatur, Michigan, and two sons, Jay M. French, of Denver, and Dr. Roy C. French, of Los Angeles.”

This makes three old time prominent Blair men who are buried in Inglewood, C. C. Crowell, Sr., T. N. Naudain and Mr. French. The editor visited this cemetery when we were in Los Angeles last spring and saw the Crowell and Naudain monuments. It is a beautiful place, more like a park than a cemetery, there being no straight streets such as we have in our cemetery.

The following was from the Tribune 24 Nov. 1915

News of the death of A. French, of Los Angeles, was received in Blair by friends of the family last week. The French family moved from Blair to Denver about ten or twelve years ago after a residence in this city for many years. In an early day Mr. and Mrs. French taught school in the county, and were among the early settlers here. Mr. French is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
