Born and raised in Ireland, the first picture is of him as a young man in Ireland. He later went on and married Mary O'Brien in Ireland in 1906. Years later he came to America by himself settling in Akron OH found a job at the Diamond Match Company and bought a house. Five (5) years later he sent for his wife to join him in America. She came by ship with five (5) small children and found he did have the house he told her about. Him & Mary went on to have a total of eight (8) children. I have included their wedding picture taken in 1906 and also their 50th wedding anniversary picture 1956 including their living children at the time. The second son (Bernard) is missing from the picture because he was killed in WWll and a daughter Rita that died in infancy.
