Eurene Little Champ, 88, Dade City, Fla., died March 23, 2003, at the Royal Oak Nursing Home in Dade City.
She was a former teacher in the Monroe County School System and a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church.
Born in Monroe County on June 18, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Joshua W. and Ada B. (Grinestaff) Combs. She was first married to Roy Leo Little, and following his death, married Jim Champ, who is also now deceased.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Clara Combs, and a sister, Iris Ellen Bartley, all of Tompkinsville; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Firl Combs, and three sisters, Inell Carter, Zelma Neal Dodson and Alene D'Alterio, all preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on March 26, at the Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with Bro. Amon Martin officiating. Burial was at the Mill Creek Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Eugene Combs, Darrell Bartley, Lewis Darrell Carter, Anthony Walden, Marc Burnett and Marshall Bowles. Honorary pallbearers were David and Donald Bartley.
