Mrs. Pearl Mae Gregg was born May 4, 1890 at Creighton, Mo, the daughter of Melissa Adeline and Henry Marion Wells.
She was married at the age of 16, August 11, 1906 to George W. Gregg and to this union was born five daughters and five sons. Five children preceded her in death. Her husband died June 15 1934. Surviving are Mrs. Glenn (Velma) Ewing, Paul Gregg, Mrs Tom (Eunice) Bugg, Raymond Gregg and Theodore Gregg.
She united with the Christian church of Creighton on October 19, 1906. She was loved by all her friends and neighbors. In 1856 she became blind and her health failed. She spent two years with a son and daughter, then entered the Pleasant View Rest Home, Harrisonville Mo where she spent the last eight years of her life and passed away September 30 1966. Mrs. Gregg was loved by all at the rest home and was given the best of care. Her two daughtrs spent the last week with her. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The funeral service was conducted at the First Christian church, Creighton, Sunday afternoon, October 2, with the Rev. Paul Coltharp officiating. Songs "In the Sweet Bye and Bye" and "Rock of Ages" were rendered by Mrs. Esther Brown, singer and Mrs. Elsie Birch, organist.
The casket bearers were Clifford Schnorf, Chester Lindsay, Harold Gregg, Kenneth Gregg, Harley D Gibson and Ors Gregg
Burial was made in the Parker cemetery, southwest of Creighton, under the direction of Snow's Funeral Home of Urich MO.
